    Heather Von St. James
    When Heather Von St. James was diagnosed with mesothelioma – a rare cancer most closely association with exposure to asbestos – her doctor asked her if her dad had been a miner or a construction worker. She was exposed to asbestos through the dust that permeated his clothing and his car. Her father died of cancer in February. Here he is with his granddaughter, Lilly, who was three-and-a-half months' old when her mother was diagnosed.
