Hurricane Katrina: EHS Professionals Invited to Share Experiences

Sept. 15, 2005
The story of Hurricane Katrina would not be complete without mentioning those EHS professionals who were affected whether they were (or are) displaced from their homes, in charge of their facility's emergency response plan or helping out with the ongoing recovery efforts. That's why Occupational Hazards.com would like to hear from you.

We're inviting EHS professionals to share their personal experiences from Hurricane Katrina and the ensuing recovery efforts. Occupational Hazards.com will post those submissions on our Web site on a regular basis for the next several weeks.

Katrina presented unique safety and health challenges to workplaces in the South, and our objective is to provide a forum for EHS professionals to share their experiences in, observations of and reactions to the hurricane from an environmental health and safety perspective with their peers across the country.

Submissions can be e-mailed to [email protected]. Although there is no word limit, Occupational Hazards.com reserves the right to edit submissions for brevity, clarity, grammar and spelling.

The entire staff at Occupational Hazards.com would like to extend its most heartfelt sympathies to those who were affected by Hurricane Katrina.
