Sports injuries are a fact of life. While it’s safe to say that the many positive benefits of youth sports outweigh the risks, injuries can happen. Based on injury data from a sampling of U.S. hospitals, the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s National Electronic Injury Surveillance System provides estimates of the sports and recreational activities that caused the most injuries among children ages 5 to 14 in 2012.
