2000 Will Be Another Good Year for Environmental Consultants

Dec. 1, 1999
The environmental services market will grow by 8 percent in 2000.

It is the right time to be in the environmental consulting business. The environmental services market will grow by a healthy 8 percent in following new year, according to a BTI Consulting Group survey.

BTI Consulting President Michael Rynowecer said this growth is on top of increases in 1999. "Industrial companies are going to outsource more work to their consultants," said Rynowecer. "We also see an increase in spending in the compliance arena. This is driving growth and opportunity for long term work for environmental consultants."

The annual survey is updated with more than 600 interviews with key buyers and managers of environmental services at industrial companies.

BTI benchmarks environmental management practices and advises the Global 2000 industrial companies on environmental management.
