AIHA Announces New Board of Directors

The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) has announced\r\nthe results of its 2000 election for the board of directors.

The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) has announced the results of its 2000 election for the board of directors.

The term of these five elected officials begins May 2000 and ends May 2001.

AIHA members elected Gayla J. McCluskey, CIH, CSP, vice president. McCluskey is employed with Global Environmental Health Services Inc., in Radnor, Pa., and has been on the AIH Foundation Board of Trustees since 1991. An AIHA member since 1980, McCluskey has held the position of AIHA treasurer since 1998 and was an AIHA director from 1994 to 1997.

Terry D. Thedell, Ph.D., CIH, CSP, has been chosen secretary-elect. Thedell works at Sempra Energy in San Diego, Calif., and has been a member of AIHA since 1978.

Three members have also been elected to AIHA''s Board of Directors. They are: Curtis W. Hintz, CIH, CSP, with Union Carbide Corp., Victoria, Texas, who is also a professional member of ASSE.

Elizabeth (Betty) Taylor, CIH, works at Health Risk Associates, Dixon, Calif., and has been a member of AIHA since 1978.

Morton Corn, Ph.D., CSP, employed with Morton, Corn & Associates Inc., Queenstown, Md., has been an AIHA member since 1959, and hold memberships with the Pittsburgh and Chesapeake sections.

All new officers were inducted by the current board of directors at the recent American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Exposition (AIHCE) in Orlando, Fla.
