3M''s Occupational Health and Environmental Safety Division awarded its 15 annual industrial hygiene scholarships to four students earlier this month at the American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition (AIHce) in New Orleans.

The 3M industrial hygiene scholarship program recognizes and rewards the contributions of graduate and undergraduate students of industrial hygiene for high levels of academic achievement, contributions to the worker safety profession, and intent to pursue careers in industrial hygiene.

Victoria Sanchez, University of Oklahoma; Shannon Henshaw, Johns Hopkins University; Michael Dennis, University of Oklahoma; and Dnyanesh Divekar, Texas A&M University, each received a $5,000 scholarship from 3M Occupational Health and Environmental Safety Division.

Divekar is the recipient of a scholarship designated for non-U.S. residents. In addition to providing the scholarship, 3M sponsored the students'' travel to and accommodations at AIHce.

This scholarship has been awarded to 40 students of industrial hygiene during the past 14 years.
