OSHA Schedules Maritime Advisory Committee Meeting

OSHA is holding an open meeting of the Maritime Advisory Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (MACOSH) Feb. 7-8 in Baltimore.

The 15-person committee advises the assistant secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health on issues relating to occupational safety and health in the maritime industries.

The committee will meet at the Sheraton Inner Harbor, located at 300 South Charles St. in Baltimore. The meeting times and room locations are:

  • 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Severn II and III rooms on Feb. 7; and
  • 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Chesapeake I room on Feb. 8.

Written comments and requests to make oral presentations may be submitted to Vanessa Welch, Office of Maritime, U.S. Department of Labor, Room N3622, 200 Constitution Ave., N.W., Washington, D.C. 20210, no later than Jan. 31. Presentation requests should specify the amount of time desired, the capacity in which the person will appear and a brief outline of the presentation. Requests to speak may be granted by the committee chairperson as time permits.
