NIOSH Stakeholder Meeting to Address PPE, Safety Issues

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Personal Protective Technology Program (NIOSH PPT) and National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL) are hosting an annual stakeholder meeting March 29, where attendees can communicate directly with NIOSH employees and grant recipients about their current research projects as well as other workplace safety and health activities.

The NIOSH PPT stakeholder meeting will be held at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport in Pittsburgh. The meeting will discuss PPE in health care, mining, agriculture and public safety. Two breakout sessions will be held for each sector.

The focus for each industry sector breakout session has been developed in collaboration with stakeholders and can be viewed on the NPPTL Web site.

In conjunction with the stakeholder meeting, NIOSH also announced the addition of workshops on March 30 for three of the four sectors (health care, mining and public safety). There is no cost to attend these workshops, with preference given to those attending the stakeholders meeting March 29. Space is limited for each of the sessions and reservations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

There is no cost to attend this meeting and remote live meeting participation is available for the March 29 event. For more information, visit http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/meetings.html.
