Five Summer Driving Safety Tips

These tips may seem basic, but taking precautions could save lives this summer.

Cookouts, camping and road trips. With Memorial Day weekend officially over, summer is just around the corner.

As the temperature rises, so does the rate of car crashes. The American Automobile Association (AAA) notes that the 100 days succeeding Memorial Day are some of the deadliest on the roads, with an average of 10 people dying in accidents per day.

Because of this, the American Red Cross has released five summer safety tips to make sure you stay safe behind the wheel this season. Click through the slideshow to see the recommendations.
