The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) has announced the election of the following officers and directors:
Thomas G. Grumbles, CIH, as vice president. He is manager, product safety and occupational health, for Sasol/CONDEA Vista Co., Houston.
Michael T. Brandt, CIH, MS, MPH, DrPH, as treasurer-elect. He is employed by Los Alamos National Laboratory, New Mexico.
Kyle B. Dotson, CIH, CSP, PE, as director. He is president and principal consultant of the Dotson Group LLC, in Cypress, Texas.
Thomas A. Hall, Ph.D., CIH, as director. He is an assistant professor in the College of Public Health at the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City.
Cathy Padolewski, CIH, as director. She is manager of environment, health, and safety at Advanced Lighting Technologies Inc.''s Venture Lighting International Division, Solon, Ohio.
As the newly elected vice president, Grumbles will succeed to the position of president-elect, president, and past president, for a four-year commitment. Treasurer-elect Brandt will serve a one-year term followed by a two-year term as treasurer. The three new directors will each serve a three-year term on the AIHA board of directors.
Other AIHA officers are changing their positions on the board:
Henry B. Lick, Ph.D., CIH, CSP, advances from the position of president-elect to president. He is an industrial hygiene consultant in Grosse Ile, Mich.
Steven P. Levine, Ph.D., CIH, the current president, will become past president. Levine teaches in the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Department of Environmental Health Sciences.
Gayla J. McCluskey, CIH, CSP, ROH, QEP, currently vice president, will become president-elect. She operates Global Environmental Health Services in Radnor, Pa.
Terry D. Thedell, Ph.D., CIH, will become secretary after serving as secretary-elect. He works for Sempra Energy in San Diego.
The election, by mail ballot to all members, was held during March and April. Terms of office begin at the close of the AIHce business meeting on June 7 during the American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Exposition.
