The National Safety Council (NSC) will host a Hispanic Safety, Health & Environment Forum in conjunction with this year''s Congress & Expo in Orlando, Fla.
The Forum, held from Oct. 18-20, will address the safety, health and environmental protection needs of the Hispanic community, not only in the United States but also in Central and South America and the Caribbean Basin.
Spanish-speaking participants at NSC will also be able to take advantage of several technical sessions presented in Spanish only.
The following sessions will take place Oct. 16-18:
- Monday, Oct. 16 Seguridad en Agricultura (Safety in Agriculture), and Golpe de Calor (Heat Stress);
- Tuesday, Oct. 17 Seguridad en Construccion (Safety in Construction), Remocion de Asbestos (Asbestos Abatement); and
- Wednesday, Oct. 18 Seguridad de Carretera (Highway Safety), El Reisgo Laboral de los Accidentes de Transito (Occupational Risks in Traffic Accidents).
The forum was developed jointly by NSC, EPA, OSHA, the National Alliance for Hispanic Health and the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
