David Miller III, president and CEO of H.L. Bouton Co., Buzzards Bay, Mass., has been elected chairman of the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) Board of Trustees.
Richard "Rick" Miller, president and CEO of Bullard, Cynthiana, Ky., has been elected ISEA vice chairman.
The Millers are not related.
David Miller, who had been board of trustees vice chairman, succeeds Roger Gehring, formerly of Dalloz Safety Inc., who left the board.
Rick Miller is newly-elected to the board, along with Wesley Kenneweg, president and CEO of Draeger Safety Inc., Pittsburgh, and Michael McLain, president and CEO of Aearo Co., Indianapolis.
The election took place at ISEA''s recent annual meeting in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Completing terms of the board at the meeting, along with Gehring, were George Kappler, president, Kappler Safety Group, Guntersville, Ala., and Walter Stepan, co-chairman, Bacou USA, Smithfield, R.I.
David Miller has been with H.L. Bouton, a manufacturer and marketer of eye and face protection and emergency eyewash and shower equipment, since being named president in 1981.
He has been involved with ISEA since joining his company, including nine years on the ISEA Board of Trustees. A Philadelphia native, David Miller has a bachelor''s degree from Villanova University and an MBA from Boston College.
Rick Miller joined Bullard in 1985 when the company was still headquartered in Sausalito, Calif. He progressed through a series of positions until being named to his current post in 1998.
Rick Miller is a graduate of Indiana University and holds two post-graduate degrees from the University of California at Berkeley. Bullard is a century-old manufacturer and marketer of eye and face, head and respiratory protection.
Kenneweg joined Draeger Safety (a subsidiary of Dragerwerk, AG of Germany) at its United States headquarters in Pittsburgh in 1983.
His career path included six years in Toronto, Canada and three years in Melbourne, Australia, before he returned to Pittsburgh and his current post in 1998.
The Draeger Safety operation, which makes and markets gas detection instruments and respiratory protection, is the largest Draeger operation outside Germany.
Kenneweg is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and resides in the Pittsburgh suburb of Sewickley, Pa.
McLain has been president, CEO and a director of Aearo Co. since he joined the company in 1998.
Previously, he was president and CEO of DowBrands Inc., a manufacturer of household consumer products. A South Carolina native, McLain has a bachelor''s degree from Auburn University and an MBA from Furman University.
Aearo makes and markets hearing, eye and face, head and respiratory protection.
