The deadline for entries is July 1, 2000 for Occupational\r\nHazards'annual Champions of Safety Contest.

Do you think you have what it takes to be a champion of safety? The deadline for entries is July 1, 2000 for Occupational Hazards'' annual Champions of Safety Contest.

Last year, three companies took home the industry''s most prestigious award for safety and health achievement.

They had several things in common, including worker protection programs and safety and health leadership.

We are looking for companies and people that display outstanding safety performance and a genuine interest in continuing to improve safety and environmental programs -- organizations and people who champion the cause of safety every day, creating innovative programs and fostering employee participation along the way.

The 2000 Champions of Safety Contest is open to individuals and organizations with a passion for achievement in occupational safety and health.

Winners will receive $1,000 and the a commemorative trophy.

They will also be profiled in the November issue of Occupational Hazards.

Are you a champion? If so, contact Karen Sarkis for more information and a contest entry form at (216) 931-9464. Entry forms also available online at www.occupationalhazards.com/cos/cos.asp?cosSection=contest_entry
