NASA: There's No Place Like Home

What is your favorite place on Earth?
April 6, 2015

This Earth Day, NASA is encouraging people to post pictures and videos of their favorite place on Earth using the hashtag #NoPlaceLikeHome.

The #NoPlaceLikeHome project is designed to showcase the beauty and wonder of the planet and create a social media showcase of our favorite places on Earth.

“At NASA, we explore lots of planets and there’s a lot to love: the mountains on Mars, the rings of Saturn, the 99.77-degree axial tilt of Uranus. But how about a little something for the home team? It’s Earth Day. Let’s explore our home planet, too,” NASA writes on its #NoPlaceLikeHome event page.

In the days leading up to April 22, NASA will share images of Earth it has gathered from its satellites, research aircraft and scientists working in the field.
