In light of recent tragic events, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has made additional resources and information available to HR professionals and employers.
A section called, "HR Responds to Terrorism" has been posted to SHRM''s Web site at www.shrm.org.
Resources in this section that were previously member password protected are now open to the public.
Currently the page includes information and resources on:
- crisis management
- sample crisis communication letters to employees
- how employers should react in the aftermath of terrorism
- religious tolerance
- special section of HR Talk (online bulletin board) for discussion of events and best practices
- links on volunteering and donating blood
