According to a report by the Fire Protection Research Foundation (FPRF), an affiliate of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), 89 incidents involving static electricity were analyzed for contributing factors between 2010 and 2022. The findings revealed that 20% of these incidents were attributed to negligence, and a further 14% to poor maintenance.
