Going to work should never be dangerous, but as OSHA numbers tell us, that’s not always the case.
OSHA.net compiled OSHA’s weekly Fatality and Catastrophe reports from 2009 to 2014 to map out which cities are the most dangerous for workers.
Cities are ranked by the number of OSHA cases – not individual fatalities – in each city – and not per capita.
For example, New York City – the largest city in the country – is No. 7 on the list with 28 cases, while Houston – a city about one-fourth the size of The Big Apple – is No. 1 on the list with 82 cases.
OSHA.net is managed by OSHA-Pros USA, an OSHA training and compliance company.
