When hazards cannot be eliminated to decrease employee exposure, personal protective equipment reduces an employer’s liability risk and financial costs by protecting workers from injury.

OSHA estimates that for every $1 an employer spends on PPE, he or she receives a $4 return on that investment through reduced injury costs and improved employee productivity.
