Top 20 Most Dangerous States to Live In 2020

WalletHub released its report based on 53 key indicators.

The personal finance website WalletHub has unveiled its 2020 ranking of the Safest States in America.

While the coronavirus pandemic tops safety concerns among American citizens, road safety, financial safety and workplace safety also are worrisome for the country's population.

To get to its rankings, WalletHub analyzed 53 key indicators grouped into five categories: Personal and Residential Safety, Financial Safety, Road Safety, Workplace Safety and Emergency Preparedness.

Maine topped the list as the safest U.S. state, followed by Vermont, Minnesota, Utah and Wyoming.
