Frommelt Safety has introduced the industry’s most sophisticated automated barrier door, the Guardian Defender. Designed to guard machinery, contain processes and protect employees, the new door boasts patent-pending upgrades to its non-contact safety switch configuration, control systems and interlocking capabilities. The Guardian Defender features a new, more resilient curtain material and offers optional variable frequency drive to control curtain speed. Additionally, it utilizes new quick-disconnect cables, which allow for easier installation than comparable barrier doors.

Visibly safer than light curtains, theGuardian Defender combines safety interlock switches/controls capable of achieving up to PLe, Category 4 level safety with a movable physical barrier restricting access to dangerous machine movement while at the same time containing process driving hazards such as weld flash/sparks, flying debris, mist, spray and other containment and exposures.
