The new Workers’ Rights booklet replaces the agency’s previous Employee Workplace Rights document.
In addition to workers’ rights information, OSHA also published a booklet informing employers of their rights. Employer Rights and Responsibilities explains what happens after an inspection and defines the types of violations for which an employer may be cited as a result of an inspection.
The agency also published the Small Entity Compliance Guide for Respiratory Protection Standard, which provides small businesses with a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to provide both employees and workers in small businesses with a better understanding of OSHA’s respiratory protection standard. This guide includes checklists and frequently asked questions.
Finally, OSHA published the following fact sheets and Quick Cards: Permit-Required Confined Spaces in General Industry;
Aerial Lift Fall Protection Over Water in Shipyards; a laboratory safety document and fact sheets to protect workers from exposure to chemical, biological and physical hazards; and more. Free copies of these materials may be ordered at OSHA’s Publications page.
