How can organizations develop future safety leaders in a way that is truly personal and hands-on? Research using psychometrics now enables us to measure several leadership traits and skills that shape how an individual will lead safety. This webinar will present a detailed case study on how Novelis, a global manufacturing organization, embedded a validated psychometric assessment into a comprehensive learning and development process for safety leader skill building.
This was a one-of-a kind program implemented across 7 countries which addressed several technical EHS topics, while including a behavioral, soft skills component. The experience was highly personalized by providing leaders with their safety leader behavioral profile based on psychometric test results, which was coupled with safety leader classroom training, 1-on-1 coaching, and action planning. In this webinar we will discuss the roadmap and various components of this process, and how it has been incorporated across several business units and countries to drive improvements in leader behavior and safety performance.
This session will provide several learning outcomes, including:
- Discover the components behind this unique process that combined technical and personal behavioral elements
- Learn the key psychological traits and leadership competencies that have the biggest impact on exposure to risk
- Understand how you can transfer technical and behavioral safety leadership skills to the shop floor
- Take away best practices and lessons learned on how to implement this type of process in a sustainable manner
