Summary

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have emerged as a critical and evolving risk factor in environmental due diligence. This webinar will explore how PFAS considerations are reshaping traditional Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and expanding the scope of inquiry across a range of business transactions, including property acquisitions, mergers and acquisitions, vendor solicitation and approvals, and even corporate restructuring.

The discussion will address PFAS integration traditional ESA frameworks and will move beyond traditional due diligence to examine broader, risk-informed strategies. Topics will include evaluating PFAS at an enterprise risk level,  consideration of regional contamination impacts on businesses, and third-party risks associated with neighboring properties and shared infrastructure. In addition, the webinar will address operational due diligence considerations such as worker protection and safety protocols where PFAS exposure may be present  and the importance of supply chain diligence.
