My Sexy Selfie Got Me Fired! (And Other Crazy Reasons Employees Lose Their Jobs) [Photo Gallery]

Feb. 6, 2015

A UK-based workplace law consultancy, Protecting.co.uk, has been gathering bizarre stories of employee dismissals, from the points of view of the workers and the managers who had to write out those pink slips.

While you can be fired for any number of reasons, it's obvious in most of these cases why the employee's services were no longer needed.

“Some of these stories are funny, some tragic and some thoroughly deserved,” says Protecting.co.uk spokesperson Mark Hall, who also noted that the employees in a couple of the stories probably could have fought their dismissals, unless "there's more to that story than is being shared."
