Pittsburgh-based Industrial Scientific Corp. announced changes to its corporate structure to support its recent growth. Kevin Miller was promoted to general manager of Americas sales and services; Garth Miller was promoted to the newly created position of vice president of customer operations; and Doug Velegol was appointed program manager.
In other Industrial Scientific news, the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) recently certified the company's MX6 iBrid multi-gas monitor as intrinsically safe for use in hazardous locations.

W.W. Grainger Inc.'s Roanoke, Texas, distribution center achieved a safety milestone when its 250 employees logged 1 million continuous working hours with no lost-time accidents. The company implemented a multi-faceted approach to encourage a safer workplace, including regular safety communication, process improvement projects and a constant focus on awareness of potential dangers. “It takes hard work from everyone on the team to keep safety awareness and accident prevention top-of-mind,” said Dean Kellogg, the facility's director of distribution operations.

Georgia-based Best Glove Inc. recently unveiled its new Web site, http://www.bestglove.com.
