CMS Energy's Field Services Unit Honored for Safety Achievements

CMS Energy Corp.'s Field Services unit earns four safety awards from the Gas Processor's Association, inluding one that honors a Texas facility for 40 years without a recordable incident.

CMS Energy Corp.'s CMS Field Services unit earned four safety awards from the Gas Processor's Association, including the prestigious First Place Division II Award. One of the company's field service facilities has worked 40 years without a recordable incident.

CMS Field Services earned the President's Award for Safety Improvement, which is awarded to companies that show a decrease in the number of accidents over the previous three years; the Perfect Year Award, which is presented to companies that have not had an Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) recordable lost time injury during the year; and the First Place Division II Safety Award, which is the highest safety award given by the association. In addition, CMS Field Services' Hamlin, Texas, gas processing plant received a milestone award for working 40 years without any recordable OSHA incidents.

"These awards are tangible evidence of the company's commitment to safety for our employees and the public," says Tim Young, executive vice president and chief operating officer of CMS Field Services. "The credit for these outstanding achievements belongs to each and every employee. We attained our perfect record as a result of everyone's commitment and dedication to do their job with safety in mind."

With about 180 employees, Tulsa-based CMS Field Services Inc. is the midstream unit of CMS Energy. The company gathers, treats, processes and delivers natural gas and natural gas liquids to market hubs throughout the supply regions of Louisiana, the Texas Gulf Coast, West Texas, Central Texas, the Midcontinent and Rocky Mountains.
