OSHA's recently published semi-annual regulatory agenda that includes projects in final, proposed and prerule stages.

OSHA recently published its semi-annual regulatory agenda. The agenda includes those projects that are in the final rule stage, the proposed rule stage and the prerule stage. It also includes long-term actions.

OSHA''s agenda indicates that the Employer-Pay-for-PPE is still on the short-list of rules to be published in the near future, but OSHA has not given any indication as to when this may occur.

The following is a break-out of each of these areas:

Projects in the Final Rule Stage

  • Steel Erection (Part 1926) (Safety Protection for Ironworkers)
  • Recordkeeping and Reporting Occupational Injuries and Illnesses
  • Occupational Exposure to Tuberculosis
  • Employer Payment for Personal Protective Equipment
  • Walking Working Surfaces and Personal Fall Protection Systems (1910)

Proposed Rule Stage

  • Safety and Health Programs (for General Industry and the Maritime Industries)
  • Occupational Exposure to Hexavalent Chromium
  • Confined Spaces in Construction (Part 1926): Preventing Suffocation/Explosions
  • Permissible Exposure Limits (PELs) for Air Contaminants
  • Occupational Exposure to Crystalline Silica
  • Plain Language Revisions to Spray Applications
  • Signs, Signals and Barricades

Prerule Stage
