Healthy Indoor Painting Practice Advice Available

EPA and the Consumer Product Safety Commission has published a brochure on suggested safe practices to follow when using paint.

EPA, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission and Maryland''s Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection, has published "Healthy Indoor Painting Practices" brochure to help educate residents, property managers and painting contractors of suggested practices to follow when using paint.

The brochure includes simple tips, such as advising painters to read and follow the product label, guidance on proper ventilation practices after painting, and tips on safe cleaning and disposal of paint and brushes.
