National Safety Congress & Expo Moves to 2021

June 19, 2020
The event is the latest to be impacted by the pandemic.

The National Safety Congress and Expo is the latest event to shift its original plans as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact events across the country.

Originally scheduled to take place in October 2020 in Indianapolis, the rescheduled NSC Congress and Expo now will take place March 28-30, 2021 in Houston, Tx.

“Our stakeholders have all come to expect an excellent experience at Congress & Expo each year,” said Lorraine M. Martin, president and CEO of the National Safety Council (NSC) about the announcement. “We are committed to delivering on that expectation while ensuring that everyone is safe. We look forward to returning to Houston in March and having another inspiring, informative conference that helps advance safety from the workplace to anyplace.”

More than 15,000 safety, health and environmental professionals attended the 2019 event in San Diego, Calif.

This is only the second time since the inaugural event in 1912 that the NSC Congress & Expo has not been held in-person. Post-World War II travel restrictions prevented the event from being held in 1945 as the country recovered.

The rescheduled event will be comprised of both virtual and in-person options to alleviate COVID-19 risks.

Updated information on all NSC events is available at nsc.org/coronavirus.
