The agency says it may vote on approval of the report and recommendations during the meeting and also will allow the public to comment on the issue.
In 2003, CSB launched investigations into three combustible dust explosions in Kinston, N.C.; Corbin, Ky.; and Huntington, Ind. A total of 14 people were killed and 81 injured in these three accidents. The final reports are available on its Web site.
In 2004, the agency launched the hazard study of the causes and effects of combustible dust fires and explosions.
The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 9 in the Diplomat/Consulate room of the Embassy Suites Downtown Washington, 1250 22nd Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.
