Do You Work at One of America's Safest Companies?

May 5, 2022
EHS Today is accepting applications until July 1 for the 2022 class of America's Safest Companies.

If you think your company has a culture that elevates safety to a world-class level, then consider applying to be named one of America’s Safest Companies.

Since 2002, more than 250 companies have been honored by EHS Today for their occupational safety, health, environmental and risk management efforts by being named one of America’s Safest Companies. Safety is everyone’s business at these companies, from the newest hire to the CEO and the chairman of the board.

To be considered one of America’s Safest Companies, organizations must headquartered in the United States and demonstrate: support from leadership and management for EHS efforts; employee involvement in the EHS process; innovative solutions to safety challenges; injury and illness rates lower than the average for their industries; comprehensive training programs; evidence that prevention of incidents is the cornerstone of the safety process; good communication about the value of safety; and a way to substantiate the benefits of the safety process.

Submitted applications must be for the entire company/organization, not just one single location that operates as part of the company. The company’s corporate headquarters must be based in the United States. Previous winners must wait five years before reapplying.

The application process is open until July 1, 2022. There is no cost to apply. You can find the online application by clicking on this link.

Winners will be invited to attend the America’s Safest Companies Awards presentation during the Safety Leadership Conference, October 18-20, 2022, in Cleveland, Ohio. Winners also receive two free passes to the 2022 event. This event is designed to share best practices in safety leadership, risk management, compliance and technology applications with EHS professionals hoping to achieve world-class safety at their companies. Speakers at the conference will include previous America’s Safest Companies winners.

If you have any questions about the competition or the Safety Leadership Conference, contact editor-in-chief Dave Blanchard at [email protected].
