Are You Working at One of America's Safest Companies?
How safe is your company… really? Do you work at the type of company where the employees and managers and even the corporate board are all aligned with the same dedication to a culture of safety excellence? If so, then you should apply to be recognized with EHS Today's America’s Safest Companies award. You can apply here to be considered for the 2026 class of America’s Safest Companies.
Since 2002, more than 250 companies have been honored by EHS Today for their occupational safety, health, environmental and risk management efforts by being named one of America’s Safest Companies. Safety isn’t just a part-time job at these companies; everyone at every level of the business adheres to strict adherence to workplace safety best practices.
To be considered one of America’s Safest Companies, organizations must be headquartered in the United States and demonstrate:
- support from leadership and management for EHS efforts;
- employee involvement in the EHS process;
- innovative solutions to safety challenges;
- injury and illness rates lower than the average for their industries;
- comprehensive training programs;
- evidence that prevention of incidents is the cornerstone of the safety process;
- good communication about the value of safety; and
- a way to substantiate the benefits of the safety process.
Submitted applications must be for the entire company/organization, not just one single location or division that operates as part of the company. Previous winners must wait five years before reapplying.
The application process is now open until June 1, 2026. There is no cost to apply. You can find the online application by clicking on this link.
Winners will be profiled in the Fall 2026 print edition of EHS Today, in individual articles posted to the ehstoday.com website, and throughout our various newsletters.
