OSHA’s Recent Rulemaking, Safety Planning and Advancing Occupational Safety: What You’re Reading This Month
Pope Gregory XIII probably didn’t set out to give us two long months in a row during summer, but I’m so glad that’s how things have worked out. I just can’t get enough of these summer days—and nights.
We’ve had a rainy, hot, temperate and once again hot summer. I’ve aligned my schedule to live more in harmony with nature; however, the past few days have meant spending most of my time in the air conditioning. Still, I’ve experienced less FOMO and more contentment than in the past, where I’ve felt the pressure to do all the things in one weekend.
It’s freeing to trust the process and in oneself. It’s not always easy, or possible, to put those questions, worries and doubts at bay. Changing safety regulations and conflicting messages don’t help, either. I hope you’re able to find some inner calm that gives you the confidence to do what you think is right or what must be done in order to keep workers safe. I hope you’re able to enjoy the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of summer, too.
Until next time, be safe, be well and be kind!
