Rockwell Automation has spent significant time and resources studying safety practices and has come up with an easy to understand Safety Maturity Index. 

In this video interview, Rockwell's Mark Eitzman talks about the discreet stages of safety evolution companies go through. Each has its own set of issues, challenges and rewards. 

Eitzman tells EHS Contributing Editor Lauren Watters that higher degrees of safety committment are correlated to other desired business outcomes.
