Chicago plays host to the National Safety Congress, which this year features over 140 technical sessions and keynote addresses offered from Monday, Oct.

Chicago plays host to the National Safety Congress, which this year features over 140 technical sessions and keynote addresses offered from Monday, Oct. 15 to Wednesday, Oct. 17. The congress also includes 32 professional development seminars, held pre- and post-expo.

Opening session keynote addresses will be presented by Alan McMillan, president and CEO of the National Safety Council, and Tom Ridge, former secretary of the Department of Homeland Security and former governor of Pennsylvania. An emergency preparedness keynote will be offered by R. David Paulison, administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the occupational keynote will be handled by MSHA Administrator Richard Stickler, OSHA Administrator Edwin Foulke and NIOSH Director John Howard. “The Human Side of Injury Prevention” is the topic of the motivational keynote, which will be given by Scott Geller and Charlie Morecraft.

The expo, with over 830 exhibiting companies, is a forum where safety, health, environmental and security manufacturers display and demonstrate an extensive range of products and services. It will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 15 and Oct. 16, and from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 17. Stop by and visit Occupational Hazards at booth 1412.
