Chronic Strain, Construction Workers’ Mental Health and Cutting Corners: What You Read in June

A look at the month’s most popular content, as determined by you.

Sometimes, Mother Nature stops you in your tracks. For me, it was walking out of the gym one night and having to pause at the gorgeous cotton candy pink and blue sunset.

The official start of summer, flowers and vegetables taking root and  anticipation of fun times have all given me a boost this week. So, too, has the opportunity to again reflect on this quote from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby: “And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”

If they say life is about the simple things, then surely they’re referring to the hallmarks of summer: eating cool watermelon on a hot afternoon, picking sun-warmed produce off the vine, and spending hours oscillating between the cool water and the sandy shore.

However you are (or are planning to) spend this summer, I hope you find moments to enjoy yourself wholeheartedly. And when work must be done, know that EHS Today is here to support you in your quest to make workplaces safer. To that end, let’s start by taking a look at some of the most popular content of June, as determined by you.

Until next time, be safe, be well and be kind!
